Reissued by Strut in collaboration with Art Yard, Horizon represents the third chapter in Sun Ra's legendary 1971 Egyptian recordings. Documenting a live performance at the Ballon Theatre in Cairo, this LP features early live takes of iconic compositions like "Space Is The Place" and "Shadow World." Driven by Ra’s Moog synthesizer and organ alongside the full force of the Arkestra, the session balances tight ensemble arrangements with ferocious free improvisation. Remastered from the original master tapes and housed in its original Saturn artwork, this release completes the trilogy capturing Ra's historic African journey.
