Widely regarded as one of the most important blueprints for the development of the American underground, post-punk, and the subsequent 90s grunge explosion, Youth Of America (1981) saw mastermind Greg Sage abandoning the short, sharp punk structures of their debut Is This Real? in favor of dark, long-form, and claustrophobic sonic landscapes.
