Serving as both the debut album from Japanese composer Yuri Umemoto and the maiden vinyl release (LP001) for the Isengard imprint, Concerts is a rigorous work of contemporary electroacoustic chamber music.
Composed, written, recorded, and artistically directed by Umemoto, the record centers on chamber performances by Miu Hirai (violin) and Soshi Hara (cello), subjecting classical string arrangements to subtle digital processing and spatial deconstruction. Mastered digitally by Dviance and cut for vinyl by Frédéric Alstadt, Concerts occupies a distinct space between chamber minimalism, Japanese sound art, and digital avant-garde syntax—delivering a refined, meticulously structured statement of intent.
