Contempo Records / Italy / RE 2016
Originally released as part of a trio of obscure Italian library LPs in the early 1980s, Commenti Musicali: Spaziali Vol. 1 by Alfaluna was designed as the soundtrack to sci-fi and space-themed television documentaries. It stands today as a hidden gem of electronic experimentation, bridging analog synthesizer soundscapes with krautrock, cosmic ambient, and early electro textures.
These ten cinematic instrumentals conjure eerie alien atmospheres, dreamy galactic vistas, and robotic pulses reminiscent of Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno, and Neu!. Painstakingly remastered from the original analog master tapes by Roberto Zamori at Film Music Art Studio, this reissue preserves the futuristic charm of its source while elevating its sonic depth and clarity.
A rare document of Italian experimental electronics at the dawn of the space age boom, this reissue comes housed in Contempo Records' custom clear PVC bag with embossed logo — a collector's essential from the Contempo Music Libraries series.
