Kristian Poulsen is a Danish guitarist working primarily with prepared detuned guitar structures in both solo and group context. Besides different duos and trios he plays in the bands Inner Cop Avoidance and Spost.
In- & Output consists of an electric side played on prepared double neck guitar without any effects except for Whammy and Fender Blender for an explosion (not a musical metaphor), and an acoustic side played on standard acoustic guitar with four steel strings. The electric side is highly repetitive and gamelan-ish. The acoustic side is more country and western gone wrong because of free improvisation. Main points of reference are repetition, plink plonk, intuitive shifts and dissolving structures.
