Marta Carin, who also operates under another name and as one third of Parasite Jazz, has been casually working on ceramics with her housemate in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, Aveyron. This new discipline led her to build a unique collection of bird-shaped ocarinas, and a dozen hash pipes for Parasite Jazz merch table. Last summer she drove her family of funky looking and sounding birds to the small town of Aubenas (Ardèche), and recorded during one week, regularly presenting her works to her co-residents. This tape is a reminiscence of this particular moment, a personal take on the subject of empathy, with an in-situ, white-cube-slash-summer-soundscape-of-a-mountain-village atmosphere. You can hear the fresh shadows of a room behind heavy walls, wind caressing the plane trees, and friends chatting, sitting or laying down on the floor patiently.
