Manchester’s Michael J. Blood finally launches his own eponymous imprint with Bloodlines 1, a raw and uncompromising collection of tracks that further cements his reputation as one of the most unpredictable producers in the UK today. Known for his "no-nonsense" approach and his collaborations with the likes of Rat Heart, Blood delivers a sound that feels like a collision between smoked-out basement hip-hop and skeletal, distorted house music.
The album is a gritty journey through MPC-driven rhythms, dusty samples, and overdriven basslines. It’s music that sounds "live" and unpolished in the best way possible—capturing the hazy, nocturnal energy of Manchester’s DIY electronic scene.
