Recorded at Inner Ear Studios in 1984, this six-song demo captures Rites of Spring in their earliest stages, featuring original bassist Mike Fellows. These sessions predated their legendary self-titled debut and documented the raw, frenzied energy that would eventually define the "Revolution Summer" sound in Washington D.C.
The recording has been remastered from the original tapes and is presented exactly as it appeared on the 1984 cassettes, including original tape collages and audio-graffiti. While these versions are more stripped-down than their later studio counterparts, they showcase the sharp melodies, introspective lyrics, and intense delivery that made Rites of Spring one of the most influential bands in punk history.
