Originally released in 1981, "Psychedelic Jungle" is the second studio album by the legendary American rock band The Cramps. This record remains a cornerstone of the psychobilly genre, blending 1950s rockabilly sensibilities with a dark, swampy, and surf-influenced punk aesthetic.
Produced by the band themselves at A&M Studios, the album features the iconic lineup of Lux Interior, Poison Ivy Rorschach, Kid Congo Powers, and Nick Knox. The sound is characterized by its mid-tempo, reverb-drenched atmosphere, moving away from the frantic pace of their debut into a more hypnotic and "jungly" sonic landscape.
