Eternal Recordings and Canadian Duck Tapes join forces for the release of the debut album of sound artist and electronic musician Artur M Puga. A very limited edition in crystal clear vinyl with artwork by Japanese designer Heijiro Yagi. In his self titled album, Artur M Puga welcomes the listener into a deep dive into digital ether. A nine stage journey built from zazen percussion and algorithmic textures creating a both warm and surgical sound net that wraps us into hibernation. A constant dialogue between organic and virtual, with a sound approach halfway between Mark Fell´s minimalism and Tomoko Sauvage´s calmed atmospheres.

Artur M Puga
(1991, Spain) crafted his sound recalling the many MRI´s he went trough at a very young age. These sound experiences, tricky at first, made machine-like noises and repetitive rhythms quite appealing eventually, developing a huge interest for unusual frequencies and a broader sound perception.
With his work he explores and shares these sensations, using pure tones, sine waves and algorithmic textures to create a void-swimming kind of state to sink in. His soundscapes always built in an extremely reductionist way lead to an empty space feeling of digital zazen.
Throughout his career, Artur M Puga was always connected to the contemporary and experimental art world. He has done soundtrack scoring, research and sound design for installations, audiovisual pieces and performing arts projects. His work has been exhibited and performed in spaces such as Society of Arts and Technology Montreal, Korea National University of Arts and Gyeonggi Creation Center in South Korea, CMK Berlín, Centre d´Arts Santa Mònica and Fundación Phonos - Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Café OTO, Centro Galego de Arte Contemporáneo, Fanzine Fest, Curtocircuito Festival and Modulartec among others.
