Released on October 29, 1993, Q 1.1 is a foundational 12-inch EP by German minimal and dub techno duo Basic Channel (Mark Ernestus and Moritz von Oswald).
Across its four tracks ("Q1.1/I", "Q1.1/Ii", "Q1.1/Iii", and "Q1.1/Iiii"), the release deconstructs a single, hypnotic dub-techno source motif into increasingly abstract, fog-shrouded variations. Mastered and cut at Dubplates & Mastering in Berlin, it remains a stone-cold essential techno classic and a core document of the genre.
