Wilfred Wagner is a cornerstone of the Copenhagen underground. Known for his expertise in tape duplication and his involvement in the legendary "So Obsolete" label in Amsterdam, Wagner has spent years helping others craft their physical releases. With 1–16, released on the Afvikling external tape series, he finally steps into the spotlight with his first solo musical output under the moniker DJ Adagio for Things.
The album is a sprawling collection of instrumentals built entirely from samples culled from his personal collection of thrift store vinyl. These are "thrift store treasures" reimagined (a boundlessly welcoming world where dusty grooves and forgotten melodies find new life through Wagner's unique lens). The result is a rhythmic, textured, and deeply nostalgic journey that reflects a lifetime of digging and a profound love for the cassette medium.
