Grönland Records / Germany / RE 2016
Grönland just unearthed a krautrock gem with Documents 1975 — an unreleased live tape capturing the legendary Moebius, Roedelius, Rother, and Brian Eno in their prime. The release spotlights four choice performances, showcasing the group's experimental brilliance.
Two tracks were recorded in their dreamy Forst studio in '75 — all wine, synths, and sonic wizardry — delivering lush, kosmische vibes that feel both intimate and transcendent. The other two cuts, from earlier gigs in Hamburg (Fabrik and Onkel Pö, 1973), contrast beautifully: one’s a serene, jazzy drift, the other a relentless motorik banger.
