After the first compilation of recordings of Las Barbas Indómitas, Vol.1 that we published in 2021, and Vol.2 that we published in 2023, we have ready Vol.3 with more material from his extensive discography. In this case his albums “Vespertilo” from 2022, “Who Are You” from 2011 and “The First Hook Echo Ever Recorded” from 2010.
LAS BARBAS INDÓMITAS is the project of Enrique del Castillo (Jaén, 1982). A project that was born in 2007 and with which he has already released 11 albums until 2022.
His quite recognizable style is characterized by the recording in a single track, with hardly any editing or production, looking for and delving into the evocative character of the music. A style of childish appearance but of great density, at times dark and at times luminous. Distant, textural, dusty and melodically very personal sound, with hidden echoes of Martin Denny's exotica, Francis Bebey's primitive electronics, Moondog's elegant imagination.
Enrique del Castillo, leaving aside his classical musical training, has taken the drift of experimental music, soundtrack without film and Lo-Fi sound.
