This is the first in a 4-LP series of restored and remastered home demos by Marc Bolan, featuring raw, early versions of songs—some of which later appeared on the iconic Electric Warrior album. Notably, several tracks remained unreleased until now, including the title track There Was A Time. The recordings capture Marc and percussionist Mickey Finn developing what would become major hits like “Get It On” and “Jeepster.” The material, originally stolen from Marc and Gloria’s home, was recently recovered and returned to Gloria for her Light of Love Foundation. The audio has been carefully restored and mastered by Anders Peterson at Ghost Sound, Sweden.
